Cashmere Care Guide

Every Home of Cashmere piece deserves gentle care. With the right tools, methods, and seasonal storage habits, your Mongolian cashmere will stay soft, warm, and timelessly beautiful.

1. Essential Tools

We make things that work better and last longer. Our products solve real problems with clean design and honest materials.

1. Preparation

Use a pH-balanced cashmere detergent and fill a soft basin with lukewarm water (30°C / 86°F).

2. Hand Wash

Gently submerge and swirl the garment — never rub or wring. Let soak for 5–10 minutes.

3. Rinse

Rinse in clean water of the same temperature to avoid fiber shock.

4. Drying

Press gently with a towel to remove excess water, then lay flat on a dry towel to air-dry.

5. Storage

Fold and store in breathable cotton bags with cedar balls or lavender sachets.

Why Hand Wash Matters

Machine washing, even on gentle cycles, can stretch or felt cashmere and wool fibers.

Hand washing maintains the yarn’s structure and prevents loss of elasticity.

Always keep the water below 30 °C and avoid sudden temperature changes.

Use minimal agitation to protect the natural fiber scales and retain softness.

Once dry, a light cashmere comb will restore the surface to its original smoothness.

2. Washing Routine

We believe in gentle rituals that protect natural fibers. Each step of hand washing helps wool and cashmere retain their softness, balance, and natural shape.

1. SORT & TURN INSIDE OUT

Separate colors and turn garments inside out to reduce surface friction.

2. DISSOLVE DETERGENT

Use a neutral detergent for wool and cashmere. Dissolve completely before adding your garment.

3. SOAK GENTLY

Immerse for 5–10 minutes in lukewarm water (30 °C / 86 °F).
Move slowly — never rub or twist.

4. RINSE CLEANLY

Replace with clean water of the same temperature until detergent is fully removed.

5. PRESS & LIFT

Support the garment with both hands and press lightly with a towel to remove excess water.

Why Gentle Washing Matters

Wool and cashmere are living fibers — too much movement or heat can break their natural elasticity.

By washing slowly and avoiding sudden temperature changes, the fibers remain relaxed and smooth.

Let the garment rest between steps, just as the fiber once did in nature.

This slow, careful process ensures it will return to your hands as soft, balanced, and beautiful as the day you bought it.

3. Storage & Maintenance

Proper storage keeps each cashmere and wool piece soft, clean, and ready for years to come.

1. FOLD, DON’T HANG

Always fold knits flat to prevent shoulder stretching and fabric distortion.

2. USE BREATHABLE BAGS

Store pieces in cotton or linen bags to keep air flowing and moisture away.

3. NATURAL PROTECTION

Place cedar balls or lavender sachets to deter moths without harsh chemicals.

4. REST BEFORE STORAGE

Let garments rest for 24 hours after drying to restore shape and balance.

5. REFRESH REGULARLY

Replace cedar or lavender every few months to keep freshness and scent alive.

Why Proper Storage Matters

Cashmere and wool are sensitive to pressure, humidity, and light.

Thoughtful storage preserves their softness and prevents fiber fatigue.

Keep pieces cool, dry, and gently folded —

so when you open your wardrobe next season, every garment feels as pure as new.
